Sweetworks / Chocolat Frey

Sweetworks & Chocolat Frey is a candy company that owns and operates six brands, including Niagara Chocolates and Ovation. They wanted to create a new office headquarters that reflected the fun, creative style of their brands. The design needed to be a conversation piece that stands out from the ordinary, featuring diagonal open-office desks, rather than traditional straight rows.

We knew it was crucial to provide Sweetworks’ employees with a vibrant and energetic space to be inspired and productive during day-to-day operations. To do this, we first created a unique flow to the layout. In the lobby, curved details in the floor match sky-blue drop ceiling tiles with curved edges and a round reception desk. Artwork, furniture selections, and color palettes were all carefully selected based on Sweetworks’ brands. We added custom canvas prints throughout the space to display colorful ads and organized photography to show off candy production. A custom mural of exploding gum balls was painted in the open office area, and a coat wall became an interactive, unique piece that looks like candy. New technology was integrated into conference rooms, which were each designed around one of their six brands.  Overall, the lively new design of the Sweetworks’ headquarters reflects the company’s creative spirit.
